Is the Memories tab in Photos working for you?
Decided to breathe new life to my late 2013 MacBook Pro 13 by upgrading it to Sonoma. However, selecting the Memories feature immediately crashes the Photos app.
I suspect 8 GB RAM isn’t enough. :/
