The document provided doesn't contain information on resolving Mac App Store connectivity issues specifically for Sonoma 14.1. However, based on common Hackintosh troubleshooting steps and general macOS problem-solving, here's a guide you can follow:
GUIDE STEP BY STEP:
1. Check Network Connection:
- Ensure your MacBook Pro has a stable internet connection. Try opening websites in your browser to verify connectivity.
2. Reapply Post-Install Root Patches:
- Since you've already tried this with OCLP without success, consider checking for any updates to OCLP that may address current issues with Sonoma 14.1.
3. Verify System Date and Time:
- Incorrect system date and time can prevent you from connecting to Apple's servers. Ensure they are set correctly.
4. Check Apple System Status:
- Visit Apple's System Status page to check if there are any known issues with the Mac App Store service.
5. Update OCLP and Patches:
- If there are updates available for OCLP, apply them. It's possible that a recent update to Sonoma 14.1 requires updated patches.
6. Review OCLP Logs:
- Check the OCLP logs for any errors that might indicate what the issue is with the Mac App Store connectivity.
7. Reset Mac App Store Cache:
- Open Terminal and use the following command to reset the Mac App Store cache:
open $TMPDIR../C/com.apple.appstore/
and thenrm -r *
- After clearing the cache, attempt to access the Mac App Store again.
8. Reinstall macOS:
- As a last resort, consider reinstalling Sonoma 14.1 using OCLP, ensuring all steps are followed correctly for patching.
Notes:
- Before trying the steps above, make sure to back up your data.
- If the issue persists, it might be worth reaching out to the community forums for OCLP or looking for others who might have encountered similar issues with Sonoma 14.1. There could be a systemic issue with the OS version or the patches that others have found workarounds for.
I'm on MacBook Pro (9,2) with Sonoma 14.1. The installation process went really smooth with OpenCore Patcher and all worked fine... Until recently, when Mac App Store suddenly stopped working. I can't login to my iCloud account nor can I use App Store at all. The error message from App Store is very succinct as it just says 'Cannot connect' and 'sth went wrong'. I've already tried resetting SMC and NVRAM as well as running post-install root patch from OCLP but nothing helped.
Is it just me having this issue or maybe Apple is doing sth to prevent OCLP upgrades?
