Intel i13700k Z790 Aorus Elite AX Ventura
I couldn’t use sample sizes < 256 samples on Ableton Live or Logic on my Hackintosh without terrible stuttering/digital noise, even when using Thunderbolt with my MOTU 828es. On a brand new computer this couldn’t be right…
It was down to AppleCpuPmCfgLock and AppleXcpmCfgLock being turned on (probably the latter). My MSR Register was unlocked, so I turned these both off and could now use 64 samples without issues. Reading the documentation on these parameters this kinda makes sense, but maybe this helps someone find the answer quicker
