Is there any actual hackers that are heros ?

So my mom got scammed with 16,000 dollars in Peru. I was wondering if someone knows a hackers who can give me a hand. Seems like this group of people have done it to multiple people. There are multiple people who got scammed by this person or group. Most of the victims are older who have lost more than my mother. One of them lost it all and is currently homeless. She went to prison for 2 days because her uncle is paid the judge so she can leave. I have all the proof necessary to prove what I am saying. #help
