Hello,
I have a MacBook Pro 11,2 (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) where I installed Ventura 13.6.3 (22G436). Installation went well. After installation, the device was very slow, mainly due to graphics. Then, OCLP detected that two Graphics patches were needed, for Intel and Nvidia (see specs below).
After the post-install root patch, the device worked seamlessly, even faster than the last supported version (Big Sur). However, I encountered two issues:
- The NVIDIA Gefore GT 750M disappeared from "About this Mac" section. Only Intel Iris Pro is visible (maybe the Nvidia patch didn't work? Anyways I can live with this)
- SIP is partially disabled (0x803). When I re-enable SIP using OCLP (build and install again to disk) or with Clover, I lose the Graphics patch. After reboot, OCLP detects that the two above-mentioned patches need to be installed, but can't be installed due to SIP being enabled (0x0).
- This is a big issue, because the device is very slow in this case, buggy and can't be used.
- The best solution is to keep SIP at 0x803, but can't apply it because I also use this device for work and Intune Company portal requires SIP enabled at 0x0.
Is there any workaournd to enable SIP at 0x0 without losing at least the Intel Graphic patch? I can live without the Nvidia one. I don't want to buy a new device where my current device can seamlessly with unsupported OS. Big thanks to OCLP people, by the way!
PS: I have also tried Sonoma, works seamlessly well, but doesn't detect Nvidia graphics. When I re-enable SIP, the device gets stuck on boot, with Apple logo and progress bar.
Apologies if some questions are stupid, I am not an expert. And this is my first reddit post, be nice to me :)
Specs:
- 2,3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
