Does the SMBIOS affect whether MacOS differentiate between Haswell CrystalWell and non-CrystalWell iGPUs?

Hi guys,

I wanted to ask if MacOS Monterey differentiates between the series of Intel 4th Gen iGPU with the 128MB L4 Cache (eDRAM) or not? In this instance, it is the Iris Pro 5200. I am putting a laptop BGA CPU onto a LGA socket.

I am kinda still rather new in this but at least from Linux, the kernel driver i915 recognises an iGPU with the eDRAM and uses it, which I am guessing this is the Framebuffer setting.

From what I can understand from the display configuration, it should be recognised but I was wondering do I need an SMBIOS that matches it i.e. iMac containing a similar Crystalwell iGPU?

Anything else should I take note of?
