Can't create installer

I've been trying to upgrade to Big Sur for hours now and I keep getting stuck at the part to create the installer. It just always shows that it has written 0 bytes of data. I'm in a 2011 Mac mini running Yosemite. I've tried an older version of open core legacy patcher, I've tried to reinstall Big Sur. Nothing seems to be working
