Can I upgrade 3950x to 5950x?

My AIO is 3 years old so I'm replacing it. While I have it out, I thought I might upgrade to the 5950x.

Mojave - Vega 64 - Gigabyte Aorus Master - 3950x - Used for video editing & daily driver

I'm NOT asking about whether its worth it. I know performance increase wont be huge. I AM asking about compatibility. Does anyone know if the system will boot and work without issue after that swap? I dont see why it wouldnt, but you know how Hackintosh can be sometimes...
