Photos app missing "Library" and photos cannot be opened full size

I just installed OpenCore Legacy Patcher 1.3.0 on my Mid-2011 27" iMac (iMac 12,2) with a 1TB SSD, 20GB and stock non-Metal GPU (AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512MB).

I noticed an issue with the Photos app where the main "Library" item in the sidebar is missing and more importantly, double-clicking photos to see them full size, shows the zoom in briefly but when it gets full size, it just shows white, no image. If I scroll down in the app, you can see the image zooming back out, but can't see it full size. This happens with all photos, but videos are fine.

I figured out a workaround for the missing "Library". If I find any photo, I can right-click it adn there's an option in the right-click menu called "Show in All Photos". It's a bit of a hack for now, but wondering if anyone had this issue and was able to solve it.

Is this a GPU issue?

I also found this post which exactly describes the problem I'm experiencing but there were no answers. Any help? 🙏
