Hi,
I can't seem to get OCLP (OpenCore 1.3.0) to boot Sonoma 14.2. I'm sorry if I get the terms incorrect, I'm new to OCLP.
On my first install of OCLP (OpenCore 1.2.1) and Sonoma 14.1, I accidentally installed OpenCore (1.2.1) on my system drive. That's the step in "Build and Install OpenCore."
In the end, I figured out that I needed to installed OpenCore 1.2.1 on the USB drive that has Sonoma 14.1 on it. With that flash drive, I installed Sonoma 14.1 and booted my A1502. It worked, boots and runs Sonoma 14.1.
Since then I upgraded to OCPL 1.3.0 and tried to install Sonoma 14.2. But I cannot get my A1502 to boot; the install of Sonoma 14.2 seemed to work. But will not boot. I login and get a progress bar in the center bottom but it seems to freeze with no progress, then my display eventually greys out and turns dark.
I think perhaps having OpenCore on my system drive is causing problems.
Can anyone chime on this?
Can someone tell me how to use macOS Recovery to delete this boot.efi. Then I can try to install OpenCore 1.3.0 and Sonoma 14.2 from a usb flash drive again.
The target MBP is an early 2015 MBP 13, A1502, MacBookPro12,1.
Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!
