Mac Mini Mid 2011
Hard drive failed so replaced with SSD.
Built OCLP thumbdrive on another mac to use to boot/rebuild the mini.
Selected the MacMini5,1as the target, first bilt with sonoma, then venturna, then montery, but all culminated in the mini speaker screaming. Holding Option the OCLP thumbdrive offers SSD, Install OS, EFI options. I choose EFI then it offers SDD and Install OS. It seems to work hard at installing, restarting multiple times, then just start screaming. As said, it did this with all three versions of MacOS offerd by opencore. I even repeated the process with a different thumbdrive... and even tried pulling each of the two memory modules thinking one may be the culprit.... Also internet recovery fails to load and leaves me at a blank screen, as does booting from a general apple highsierra thumbdrive.
Any ideas on what to try to make it a working machine greatly appreciated.
Would be happy to just get it back to original high sierra.
Thank you!
