Hi, I have an old 17 inch Sony Vaio VGN AR690U laptop and I want to use it for hackintosh purposes. I can accept any macOS version between 10.7-10.11 since it has a merom CPU. It also has a revised 8600M GT chip inside of the laptop. Specs are similar to 2007-2008 MacBook Pro 3,1 & 4,1 so I wanna get macOS running on it regardless which version it is. If I can run, how can I make a proper EFI for this laptop?
Here are the specs : Sony Vaio VGN AR690U 17.3
Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (it can't run newer than 10.12)
4 GB 800MHz DDR2 (still fine)
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256MB (revised chip) but it stays at black screen when graphics acceleration is enabled on Yosemite.
1920x1200 WUXGA Display
Intel Wifi 4965AGN (will it work with a custom kext or something?)
It has two SATA Slots with two WD 240GB SSD
