I Success fully updated to 14.1.1 by accident. I tried to 2 weeks ago and had to do a clean install with a backup to fix it. Anyway, I tried to update today and got stuck on a black screen and figured I'd have to do another clean install.
I forced a shutdown by holding the power button and restarted in SAFE MODE. Once in SAFE MODE the install continued (it said 5 minutes remaining) and when it completed the desktop opened. I had to re-install root patches to get the wifi working again. After the root patch install and restart the laptop booted with no issues.
