Hi! I have both a hackintosh and a 2015 macbook pro that I might end up updating with OCLP.
I do a lot of audio production and have some paid plugins bought.
My question is, I think opencore uses a fake serial number and fake machine id to make the system boot (smbios) and once you activate a license in ilok you can only deactivate it from the same machine.
With the hackintosh there isn't so much trouble as it's already running on opencore (I guess my only problem would be if a system update or something breaks opencore or something and makes the system unbootable), if that's the case and I restore a security backup (basically cloning efi and last macos partition known to boot) would my plugins still be activated as it is technically the same machine? If a new bootloader appears like what happened with clover and opencore should I deactivate my programs before switching to to the new bootloader?
What about the macbook? As it is currently running on original macos Monterrey should I deactivate all my licenses and activate them again when I update to OpenCore Sonoma?
Thank you
