Ventura: Installer runs fine but first boot to the actual OS results in a blank region selector

Hey all, I’m fairly new to this so please excuse any mistakes or lack of knowledge.

For starters: I am on an ROG Zephyrus M15 GU502LW (running ubuntu on its main drive)

Intel Core i7 10750H (Comet Lake-H) NVIDIA RTX 2070 Max-Q (I know this is unsupported) 16 GB DDR4-3200 Installing to a Samsung EVO 970 Plus 500GB nvme ssd (Please let me know if more information is needed here)

As the title mentions, I get past the installer just fine. However, as soon as I boot into the actual operating system, I get met with this screen. If I click continue, “Setup Assistant” crashes & leaves me with a gray screen. The exact same thing happened on Big Sur when I initially tried that.

Has anyone had this issue before & does anyone have a potential solution? Thanks!
