So for a bit of context, I have a ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 2 with a 1440p screen which I've had to run at 2048x1152 to fix a garbled screen issue.
Every boot, the screen goes black and I have to close the lid and either wait a few seconds or to just let the computer go to sleep to fix the issue.
I'm thinking this has something to do with running it at a lower resolution because this happened once before when I connected to my TV using a HDMI cable, I fixed it by selecting the lower resolution manually through system preferences on the TV which makes me think macOS is trying to default to the higher 1440p resolution instead of the scaled 2048x1152 that I had selected every time on boot.
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
