I've been learning hackintosh using OpenCore for a week, I started with Ventura and had problems similar to what I'm having with Monterey, but not to the point where I couldn't install.
On Ventura I faced boot loop several times during the installation, until insisting, it worked, so after install, the only problem was that sometimes it would not boot and restart, I had sound, internet, everything working normally, but I switched to Monterey because I wanted to use Docker in VirtualBox.
In Monterey the Black screen problem happens randomly, but sometimes I can get to the installer (very rare).
I already tried to solve it in several ways, I changed 2 pendrives and a HD to try to boot, I tried AppleCpuPmCfgLock
and AppleXcpmCfgLock
set TRUE
, removed some KEXT (UTBMap, AppleALC), removed headphone, USB-C connection, but nothing worked.
I'm using everything with debug, Kexts and OpenCore
I also noticed that the boot takes a long time to be done and without logs "Choose the Operation System", this doesn't seem normal to me.
