So I have my new Hackintosh up and running with Ventura:
10900k / Z490 / RX580 / Ventura 13.5 / iMac 20,2 SMBIOS / Opencore 0.9.3
and everything is basically working. I followed the Opencore/Dortania guide including the "Post-Install" sections, which includes fixing sleep. I did what is in the guide, and now, when I manually put the machine to sleep, it works.
However, I wanted to also set manual sleep times like you can in Windows, e.g., tell the computer to go to sleep after one hour of inactivity - but it seems there is no such option on Ventura! Whenever you google "mac sleep settings" all you get is stuff about laptops and clicking on "battery" in settings which desktop machines obviously do not have.
Unable to set these sleep settings manually, I left the machine on for a couple of hours to see what it would do. It did not go to sleep.
So ultimately, what I'm asking is:
1) Can you set manual sleep settings as described in Ventura? If so, how?
2) Why did my Hack machine not go to sleep after being left idle for two hours?
Thanks!
