Hello,
Basically as the title says.
I love repurposing technology that isn't being used, and rather than sweating all over my daily-use laptop, I'd much rather dedicate my late-2008 MacBook in becoming a machine just for Zwift, the indoor-cycling programme.
Problem with Zwift for Mac is that it requires 10.14, and my MacBook was only supported until Yosemite (I think, but certainly not until 10.14).
Not a problem, I thought, as I used this video to force Mohave on my MacBook. Currently typing this out on the MacBook in question, and it seems to be working ok.
This MacBook is a little slow as I removed its internal battery, that had expanded, so it runs directly through the power supply. So slowness was to be expected, as I doubt it's powered sufficiently to run on full steam.
The problem occurs when I run Zwift — which now downloads and instals without any trouble. However, the app crashes when I open the programme. It loads for a bit, but then completely quits.
I'm now scratching my head, thinking maybe I should put Windows or maybe Linux on the computer to help it perform this simple task.
Any advice would be madly appreciated.
