Hello. I am running a Hackintosh with Big Sur and OpenCore 0.8.8. My previous specs were an i5 9400, Z390 M Gaming, 2x8gb DDR4 3000hz RAM, and RX 580 GPU.
Everything worked perfect for a couple years. I decided to update the CPU to an i9 9900k and 2 additional sticks of identical RAM.
Everything boots up fine, and About This Mac shows the i9 9900k, but doesn’t show the core count. When I go into activity monitor or Logic to see how many cores / threads I have, it’s showing 6 cores / 12 threads instead of 8 cores / 16 threads. In the system report, it shows that hyper threading is enabled. The bios shows the correct core / thread count.
Is there something I need to do to get this to see my processor accurately? Please and many thanks for help!
