System: iMac 15,1 2014 27” Retina iMac 32GB RAM, AMD Radeon R9 M29 2GB VRAM
OCLP v0.6.7
MacOS 13.3
Install went flawlessly, system working very, very well, but heavy-duty graphics software like DXO PureRAW and Topaz Gigapixel, which have preference selections to prioritize the CPU or GPU, are not using the GPU no matter how I set them. Before the patch, Auto always used the GPU.
I’ve read everything I can on the difficulties with these generation graphics cards under more modern OSs, I’ve installed all patches, I’ve checked all settings …yet I’m not sure how to remedy.
Software that normally processes a photo in 7 or 20 seconds per photo depending on the method, is now taking two minutes to seven minutes per photo. It’s 20x longer now. What used to be a small batch to process now takes days of having the iMac CPU maxed out.
Using iStat Menus, I can verify the CPUs are pegged but the GPU sits almost idle.
Help! Happy to provide any answers I can to help you help me.
