Kernel Panic on i5 12600K - <a class='btn-link text-primary' href='/2020/12/install-macos-big-sur-on-supported-pc.html'>Big Sur</a>

Hardware:

  • Motherboard: MSI PRO B660M-A DDR4 (MS-7D43)
  • CPU: i5 12600K
  • RAM: 32 GB DDR4 3200Mhz
  • SSD: Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GT-710
  • Realtek RTL8125 Gaming 2.5GbE Family Ethernet Controller
  • macOS: Big Sur
  • OpenCore Version: 0.8.5

When I perform a NVRAM reset and try to boot through my USB, it shows the Apple logo for 5-10 seconds and then reboots and gives a Kernel Panic .

For alder-lake, I was following this guide and the reddit post as references.

I've also tried the fixes for #[EB|LOG:EXITBS:START] mentioned in the Troubleshooting section of OpenCore guide but got no luck booting the installer yet.

Any ideas on how can I solve this issue? Thanks!
