So, I was trying to figure out what's making my machine boot so slowly and found this in the logs. I have a few large WD red drives connected which are adding up to take 2min+ to scan.
kernel: (apfs) spaceman_scan_free_blocks:3172: disk11 scan took 68.235797 s (no trims) kernel: (apfs) spaceman_scan_free_blocks:3172: disk9 scan took 31.170159 s (no trims) kernel: (apfs) spaceman_scan_free_blocks:3172: disk8 scan took 45.361498 s (no trims)
Booting from 1TB samsung nvme , 970 evo IIRC. That drive has 50% free and is taking about 12s to scan and 12s for trim, but the bigger problem is the storage drives.
Any configuration tips or just something you have to live with?
