e5200 pentium dual core

4GB DDR2 RAM

GT 730 2GB

dual monitor setup with HDMI audio working

no wifi hardware present, ethernet only

for detailed specs look up the pre-built Compaq CQ3020IL

followed opencore tutorial entirely. the only three post-troubleshooting modifications i had to make:

  1. Added NullCpuPowerManagement.kext
  2. nv_disable=1 flag in boot-args (then replace with nvda_drv=1 after installing web drivers)
  3. created a full bootable installer using createinstallmedia in a Mac VM & not a bootable recovery because latter forces icloud login

my least painful hackintosh experience

unfortunately, had some issues with iCloud account - app store, imessage, and few other apps dont work - but not a problem for me

few apps still support el capitan, but enough to make a complete study PC (I use dropbox, chrome, inbuilt pdf reader, anki, & todoist)

i wish the Numbers app was still supported, i use it often on other devices. if any of you have links to older versions of Numbers, Pages, and Keynote, could you please send it to me? (not app store links)
