I am completely new to all of this, but I've gotten Monterey to install and boot. Most USB devices work (keyboard, mouse, etc), but plugging in a thumb drive (tested in multiple ports) doesn't seem to work. Is there something obvious I'm missing? I've heard a lot about usb port mapping, but I'm unsure if I need to do that. I currently have USBInjectAll.kext and XHCI-unsupported.kext. I've tried a few different configurations, I saw somewhere someone with the same aorus elite z390 mobo posted a USBPorts.kext and SSDT-USBW.aml and SSDT-EC-USBX.aml, so I tried those files (as in, I wiped the ssd and reinstalled with that kext now present on the installation usb drive), but it didn't seem to change anything. Does the USB config have to be created individually for my mobo or can I use the same one as someone else with the same mobo? Does anyone know which file(s) I need to look into in order to get USB storage working (is it an SSDT or a kext)? Can someone point me to a guide to set that particular file up? Thanks.
