I just upgraded my somewhat cramped 256 GB SSD with a nice and roomy 1 TB model (SK. Hynix PC711), and now a previously working Mojave install won't boot.
Instead, it kernel panics when it loads the NVMe driver, which suggests a problem with the new SSD, but I have confirmed that it does work, so perhaps Mojave's driver is somehow incompatible with the new disk? Is there a way to either patch the existing drive so it works or install a working one from Catalina or newer?
