Just wanted to share, as it took me a very long time to realize a solution for my hackintosh audio issue with macOS Monterey
CPU: Intel core i7 10700K
GPU: MSI RX 570 8GB (Intel UHD 630 is present but not used for a display)
RAM: G Skill Trident Z, 32 GB (16 GB x 2) 3200 MHz DDR4
Motherboard: Asus Z490-A Prime
Audio codec: RealtekS1220A
Ethernet: Intel I225-V 2.5Gb Ethernet
Wifi/Bluetooth: Youbo Broadcom4360 Wifi AC + Bluetooth 4.0 PCIe Card
Case: Lian Li LanCool 2
CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H100i Capellix Liquid AIO cooler
Context first: it's been fully successful hackintosh build until macOS Monterey changed a few things for me. First is that my audio outputs stopped appearing since Monterey, and ive been troubleshooting this for weeks in my free time. Apple Watch unlock stopped too but ill sort that out later with BlueToolFixup.Kext or something I believe.
I did follow the opencore install guide and used the results I kept getting from GFXUtil in terminal. So things kept not working as a I made backups of my EFI folder(s) and kept trying to change different things in config.plist, nothing worked understandably.
even if you're using GFXUtil on macOS Monterey, and the output says that your Audio codec is located here:
PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x3)
that may be incorrect for you too - I found a rude person in a comment somewhere lol, explaining how the default audio output location is typically listed as this below instead, (and it's listed this way too in the OC Install Guide for Comet Lake 0.7.5):
PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1b,0x0)
I changed this within device properties to reflect PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1b,0x0) instead, and everything worked again as it did before.
for macOS Big Sur and lower, that choice of "PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x3)" in Device Properties had worked for by build worked just fine. And it's what GFXUtil tells me to use for my audio codec, while on macOS Monterey too.
So its like, I dk whether to just accept it as a bug within gfxutil, or something? or if it's something work looking into - hope this may help someone!
