OC: Is it necessary to do USB Mapping if everything seems to work just fine?

I've nearly completed my fresh OC/Monterey build. How necessary are the following OpenCore post install steps, if everything seems to work just fine?

• Audio (microphones, speakers, headphones) already seems to be working. I assume it's not necessary to fix audio with AppleALC then?
• USB mapping, what happens if I don't do the USB Mapping? Currently, all USB devices/peripherals/speed seem to be working fine, also after sleep. I'm currently NOT using USBInjectAll.kext.
