So far I've installed Catalina, was pretty smooth. Post install - not so much. Has an Intel i7-8750H Processor, GTX 1070, 32 GB RAM, and a 512GB ssd.
Everything works but: Sound, trackpad buttons, shutdown/restart, battery module
Here is my EFI folder. And here is the laptop on amazon.
I got the trackpad / keyboard kexts somehow installed with Hackintool after a few attempts. SIP is disabled.
Edit: should mentioned I tried the Dortania shutdown fix with the FixShutdown-USB-SSDT.aml and the patch. Also remapped USBs and installed the USPMap.kext (I think... sometimes it takes a few times?) I only have 3 USB ports, 2 which are 3.0 and 1 is 2.0.
