Hello! I used to run Logic Pro X on my Macbook Pro (mid-2009) but recently it ran into some problems and it won't stay on for more than 3 minutes. I've been told the only solution is to replace the motherboard, which seems uneconomical considering A. I have a new replacement laptop B. It's a very old device. I've Hackintosh'd a device in the past, but that was my friend's rather expensive work computer, which had an Intel i7 and specs that fit well with the Macos version of the time, however it's been about four years since and I don't really remember anything about the process.
I'd really like to dual boot macOS on my laptop or my PC
my PC is a Dell Vostro 270s. This is my spare computer, it has a third generation i3, integrated graphics, 4GB of Ram and 500 gigabytes of storage. Dual boot isn't necessary on this one, I think it might be able to run El Capitan, does anyone know if it's possible and whether there's a suitable tutorial for the same
My laptop is slightly better, however I need both Win11 and Macos on there
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-10110U CPU @ 2.10GHz, 2592 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
Integrated Graphics
System Model HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible PC (so i need touch screen support as well)
I don't necessarily need Monterrey, anything that runs macos does the trick. I don't need a massive storage partition either, probably only 40 odd gigs off extra storage (this is for the laptop)
It would mean the world to me if you let me know whether it's possible on either of these devices, I know they're pretty low-spec but I need it because I find FL Studio and Ableton alien in comparision. Given that some macs on their last legs of support have very similar specifications, I thought it might be worth a shot
