Is there a way for me to enable VP9?

I don't understand much about hardware acceleration or video encoding/decoding, I'm just trying to play Stadia games in 4k, but Stadia's settings say I need VP9 decoding enabled.

When I go to chrome://flag, the only VP9 option is related to casting, when I go to chrome://gpu, the "Video Acceleration Information" section is empty.
