So my original hackingtosh was built on clover a few years ago, so I'm not sure i can find the actual guide I was following but i was one from tonymacx86. It's been okay but I would get some regular crashes of apps or random reboots, which would come and go. Which was one of the big reason I originally wanted to convert to opencore as I understood it to be more stable. But I want to try to update to the latest version I can, hopefully monterey, which is another reason I wanted to try open core. So after some failed attempts with open core I found this github repo for the z370 motherboard and I got a successful, very stable boot of my current system. Issue is its' running opencore 0.5.1, and any attempt to change to 0.7.5. fails. If I try running the monterey installer on 0.5.1 it crashes out. I'm brand new to opencore, i followed the upgrade guide on https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/universal/update.html But I'm not succesfully booting, I seem to hit one issue after another. So i'm wondering if 0.5.1 to 0.7.5 is to big of a leap to follow the guide. here is my current EFI on opencore (pretty much exactly out of github and my config file download link: https://file.io/H79yHYoGH64S Any help would be appreciated [link] [comments] |
