Hi guys. So I succeed in installing Catalina on my old Ivy Bridge laptop. Things go well, except that the temperature is always high (~80oC comparing to ~60oC on Windows). In addition, the fan is always on high speed, leading to so much noise
So far, I tried FakeSMC and VirtualSMC, none would give me fan control (which I think doesn’t exist in this laptop anyway, I checked on Windows, too). I also tried using MacbookAir SMBIOS instead of MacbookPro hoping that it would undervolt the CPU, same temperature
Would you guys suggest me any other method(s) to have more control on this heat issue? Thanks
