Can’t get onboard LAN or pci wireless card recognized after upgrading mobo and processor in working build

current build is- Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Elite, Intel i9-9900, XFX Radeon RX 580, G.Skill Ripjaws 2x16gb, Ethernet is onboard Intel, the WiFi card I’m trying to use is TP-Link Archer T6e

Startup disk is currently an OCZ Vertex 256g SATA but I will be switching over to an installed Samsung 970 Evo 1tb nvme once I have the internet issue sorted.

Hi everyone

I recently upgraded the motherboard, processor, and ram in a functioning but dated build, and everything works except network connectivity. The WiFi card is not recognized at all, and the Ethernet shows as active and connected in bios but shows as unplugged in network settings (it recognizes the port but not the cable/connection). Internet worked flawlessly via Ethernet before upgrading parts, never had a WiFi card til now.

I did not do a clean reinstall, just booted off the existing disk and it started up just fine, but I can’t get the internal Ethernet port or PCI WiFi card to work. The original build was almost 8 years ago, with some tweaks and updates along the way, but I am using the latest version of clover and clover configurator. I’m also running the latest bios for my mobo. I’m guessing I have some kexts that cancel each other out, or the wrong version of something.

kexts in my EFI are - AirportBRCMFixup.kext, AppleALC.kext, CodecCommander.kext, FakeSMC.kext, IntelGraphicsFixup.kext, IntelMausiEthernet.kext, Lilu.kext, USBInjectAll.kext, WhateverGreen.kext, XHCi200series.kext, XHCI300series.kext, XHCiX99.kext

the only kexts also installed in the library/extensions folder are fakesmc and intelmausiethernet

before I go adding and subtracting kexts to see what might work, I’d love to know if anyone has any advice or ideas! Thanks in advance
