Can’t boot into OpenCore?

Hiya! I’m pretty new to Hackintoshing, my only current successful one is a Lenovo Thinkpad X260 :)

I’ve got a bit of a problem with booting. The first time I attempted to hackintosh my Desktop yesterday, I used Windows to create the USB following the Dortania guide (i hope that’s how you spell it?? im typing this on my phone so cba to google it lol) and my PC recognised it, but when I selected the option in the boot picker it was just a black screen, so the next day (today) I followed a different guide and did the steps to create the usb on my iMac, most of the steps still from the Dortania guide, but when I’d finished the USB and went to go boot it, my PC would only find it under “Legacy Devices” and the UEFI section was blank, of course attempting a legacy boot just gives the message that the USB is not bootable, but I’ve done everything right and it won’t even find the OpenCore USB without any modifications (the added DSDTs etc) and I’ve tried different ports and different USBs and to no avail, and I’m starting to get a bit frustrated, does anyone have any ideas?

Sorry it’s a bit of a long post, also written on mobile so I’m sorry if there’s any bad grammar :]

Also I should mention, it’s a Dell Prebuilt Workstation (T1600) running on Sandy Bridge :))
