What guide I followed | How to fix Pink Screen HMDI, Pink Screen on Intel HD and UHD Graphics on macOS Sierra and Later on Desktops [Clover/OpenCore] |
OpenCore version | 0.7.5 |
My Issue:
One of my monitors is connected via DVI to VGA cable. That monitor cycles from regular screen with a magenta tint to a static screen then to a black out state and repeats. I tried to use IORegistryExplorer 3.0.2 (14) to find out why the monitor is misbehaving. Unlike the guides I followed, the connector-type
is not a DATA type but a NUMBER type as 4.
I calculated the hexadecimal to decimal guide from this tutorial and believed that to use DVI, I think I should set the Number settings to 16384, from <04 00 00 00>
. So, I added the following to the PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)
of my OpenCore settings in DeviceProperties of my config.plist:
framebufffer-patch-enable = 4096
framebuffer-con4-enable = 4096
framebuffer-con4-type = 16384
Where the number 4 is the fifth monitor that has the DVI output.
I rebooted and there were no improvements nor any change in the IORegistryExplorer readings of my monitor:
This is my DVI -> VGA monitor IORegistry App Settings
Thanks for your time.
