There are users who have a 4K monitor with resolution higher than 1920x1080 and have observed that the login screen has a lower resolution than the Desktop.Login screen is displayed in a smaller size and quickly scales up to fill in the entire size of the monitor.
In my case it has been solved by deleting the file
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist
and closing the session.
