macOS Big Sur working on my HP Pavilion

macOS Big Sur working on my HP Pavilion

Hardware specifications:

CPU: i5-8250U

GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620 / Nvidia GeForce 940MX

RAM: 32GB DDR4-2666 (underclocked to 2400 MHz)

Motherboard/Laptop Make and Model: HP Pavilion - 15-cc608tx (2UJ49PA)

Audio Codec: Realtek ALC295

Ethernet Card: Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller

Wifi/BT Card: Broadcom BCM94360CS2 (salvaged from malfunctioning MacBookAir6,1; connected via M.2 adapter)

Touchpad and touch display devices: ELAN Clickpad / TouchScreen display

BIOS Revision: F.32

Guide(s) used:

Dortania's OpenCore Install Guide

Working:

Graphics Acceleration (via Intel UHD Graphics 620)

Ethernet

Wifi/BT

Touchpad (with multi-touch gesture functionality)

Touch display (with multi-touch gesture functionality)

Keyboard with fully working function keys

3.5mm Audio Jack (both input and output)

Speakers (via AppleALC)

Microphone (via AppleALC)

Camera

Battery percentage (via ECEnabler)

Apple ID (iMessage/FaceTime/iCloud)

Not working:

DIscrete graphics acceleration (Functionality beyond High Sierra not expected in the first place; non-issue)

Bluetooth (under Windows; non-issue)

Note(s):

Triple-boot achieved by linking Windows 7 installation (on SATA 2.5 inch drive) to Windows 10 boot menu (on SATA M.2 drive), then installing macOS on M.2 drive

Booting to macOS requires entering BIOS Boot Selectino menu and manually choosing OpenCore.efi due to sharing installation drive with pre-existing Windows 10 installation on M.2 drive

Trackpad settings change required post-install to prevent accidential Force Touch activation

Success! (though I could have used a backlit keyboard)
