Advice on reasonable (not high end) graphics card upgrade for video editing

Mainly use my hackintosh for music production so when I built it just when for a 2GB GT740 to have something that just worked.

Now though I’m getting into some video editing and it would be good to have something better, especially for rendering.

I’ve done some research, but it’s hard to know what would suit my criteria:

1. Enough of an upgrade to make it worth while, although I am not looking for the highest end performance.

2. Price not too crazy (happy to get 2nd hand).

3. Works with Mojave and upwards.

4. Ideally a card that just works natively like the one I have. I think I just installed whatevergreen and lilu and this just worked.

Appreciate any advice!
