Audio skipping and stuttering on USB audio interface

A few days ago, my system audio started to stutter and skip every few seconds only when I'm doing something on the screen. If I just leave something play and don't touch the mouse or keyboard, the sound is untouched.

This only happens when using to a USB audio interface. If I switch the output to a non-USB output (one of my monitors on DisplayPort), the issue does not occur. I don't have the AppleALC kext installed at the moment.

The only change made in the past week to the system was installing the iShowU Studio app with SWB Audio Capture driver and virtual device. I uninstalled them hoping that the issue would be resolved but to no avail. Restarting the system does not do anything either.

This hack I've had for over 6 months has performed fantastically. But it struck me that I can't figure out this issue. And I'm not sure if it's hack-related or macOS related. Has anyone had this issue before? I don't know what to do now, other than running the macOS installer that could maybe repair something.
