Hey guys so I bought a macbook at a thrift store a week ago and I deleted the os. I thought that it would be easy to download through internet recovery mode, but I need the apple ID that was on the computer last. I have an m1 macbook air and have tried opening the mac os lion installer from the apple website, but it wont let me open it because it was never supported on my m1. My question: Is there a way to trick the os or installer into thinking that I have osx lion on my m1? That way i can make a bootable installer for the thrift store mac.
