Hi guys,
so yesterday I suddenly got stuck on my pre-boot screen where the APFS–Output is displayed before it boots into MacOS. The system was running fine for years now without any problems and I used the computer twice yesterday before it happened. I have no idea what could have caused this and how to fix it.
A fresh install might be an option which i would like to avoid though, since it requires wiping the SSD and although it's mostly backed up, there are a few files I would rather not lose.
System Specs:
Mac OS X High Sierra
i7 3770k
GTX 1070
8GB RAM
Gigabyte GA Z77 DS3H
Some TP-Link WiFi card
I'm using the Clover Bootloader
I looked into the issue a bit but in most forum threads I found the system booted eventually so they could update their APSF.efi or the bootloader. Not for me though. The system is running for over an hour now and it is still stuck. No key input does anything, I can only restart with the power button.
Any help or ideas are welcome
thanks
