I wanted to share my successful hackintosh laptop build on Dell Latitude 7490.

Specs:

opencore version: 0.7.1

CPU: i7-8650UGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620RAM: 16 GB (SK Hynix - 8+8 DIMMs)

Storage: XPG SX8100 4TB NVMe (NVMeFix.kext)Laptop Make and Model: Dell Latitude 7490Audio Codec: Apple ALC, layout-id: 17Ethernet Card: intelMausiWifi/BT Card: DW1560 (Bcm94352Z)Touchpad and touch display devices: ALPS V10BIOS revision: Dell Bios 1.7.2

Working:

  • big sur 11.5.2
  • NVMe 4TB m.2 SSD (XPG SSD w/ ADATA controller)
  • Fan Control, cpu temperature, SSD temperature
  • power management is not great (approx 4 hrs battery)
  • Sleep, lid close sleep and wake on open
  • GPU acceleration
  • webcam, speakers, microphone, headphone jack
  • all usb ports
  • wifi & bluetooth full support (DW1560)
  • airdrop, airplay, iMessage, facetime, continuity
  • keyboard function keys - volume, mute, brightness, backlight
  • hdmi port, usb c hub (hdmi + usb A + card reader)
  • usb c charging
  • battery charing detect, charge %, charge information & capacity

NOT Working:

  • trackpad buttons
  • finger-print sensor (touch id)
  • microsd card reader (may have a fix, need to look around)
