EDIT FOR CLARITY: What I mean is, I want use Nvidia and AMD in one machine but for my PC to use the NVIDIA card, and my HackMac to use the AMD card. And for each to ignore the other card, while sharing almost everything else except maybe for the boot drive. —-
Hey guys, just considering a Hackintosh, after much consideration, I think I might hold on to my current real MBP for simple stuff, and build a PC by going the NVIDIA/RYZEN route for work (video editing etc), and some gaming. Just for the performance of that combo over something with an AMD GPU mostly. But...
What I'm wondering is:
1. Is it possible to Build a PC/hackintosh Hybrid?
Basically... the CPU from Intel on a hackintoshable motherboard and all that, and for a GPU, just something simple from AMD that is known to work. This is my every day machine.
BUT... in the same machine, also have an NVIDIA beast card, and seperate boot drives or whatever so that the PC is in the same housing, but sharing the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and maybe a large shared storage drive?
Or is this ridiculous?
- If I just build that NVIDIA/RYZEN rig... what do I need to know about a Mac OS VM? Would that even work? (Would be amazing if it performed well. Maybe even well enough to actually work properly on it. But mostly, it's just to have MacOS for daily non intensive tasks.)
