Hackintosh install stuck at Apple logo screen

I’m trying to install MacOS Catalina onto my MSI gaming laptop, and I followed the tutorial linked below successfully for quite a while, using another Mac pc to create a macOS Catalina installer on an old Kingston 32gb thumb drive I had lying around. Everything went well until I plugged the thumb drive into my windows pc and restarted it. The clover bootloader came up like it should, displaying my windows partition and an option that said “Boot MacOS Install from Install MacOS Catalina” (Install MacOS Catalina was the name of my thumb drive), as well as some partitions marked “NTFS” (presumably windows recovery and some other 40gb partition I had made). I clicked on the MacOS installer option, and after a few seconds it loaded into an entirely black screen with the Apple logo dead center, and no loading bar or anything. I let it sit like this for a good 20-30 minutes, and still nothing. Mind you, this should barely take any time as it’s just launching the installer. Anyone know why this is? If you need me to post any logs I can do so, just ask.

The guide I followed: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/install-macos-pc-3632329/%3famp
