Hey ill cut right to the chase.
Got opencore set up and booting my Big Sur internet recovery image. The issue I am having is, it just hangs when it goes to download the actual recovery image from Apple. I looked at the imaging logs (which id post here but I have no idea how to get those off the machine in a readable format outside of taking a picture of the screen), but the last thing it does in the log, is attempt to download this 12+GB image.....and thats it. Then just a bunch of logs about the display timing out, and when I move the mouse and it comes back.
TLDR; My Big Sur internet recovery hangs at downloading the actual recovery image (12+gb) forever, and the time just climbs and climbs. I left it for roughly 8 hours and when I came back, nothing new in the logs, and the time left was at like 22 hours.
EDIT : Using the RealtekRTL8100 .kext I get to the actual install. I attempted using the RealtekRTL8111 and it does not work, Big Sur install just says I dont have an active connection. So as it stands, the RTL8100 kext is the only one that actually worked for me getting to the actual install.
