Big Sur on Aorus Ultra Z590i + 10900k, RX570, OpenCore 0.7.2

Not my first Hackintosh but meant as an upgrade/replacement my older one. First mistake was trying to install Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina on Z590. Lost many precious hours on that. None of my USB devices will work once after selecting the option in the OpenCore picker. Took me a while before I realized that pretty much all Z590 Success stories are using Big Sur.

Bluetooth isn't working for me. I have both IntelBluetoothInjector and IntelBluetoothFirmware kexts. All that happens is that I can detect some devices but I can't connect or use them at all.

I also have an Asus BT400 wifi dongle (BCM2070A0) which was supposed to work natively. It worked on my previous Hackintosh but somehow it will not work here at all. Option + click the bluetooth icon shows the correct Address but it can't connect to anything. I might have to flesh out the extra for a BCM94360NG card but am a bit unwilling to do so at the moment.

OpenCore:

Working:

  • iMessage
  • Wifi
  • Ethernet but with heavily crippled speeds. Will have to look for a fix when I have the time.
  • Dual monitor from dGPU (Getting pink screen issues with DVI. Will have to change to HDMI or change monitor RGB settings to YPbPr but monitor won’t save the settings.)
  • Wake from sleep
  • Custom USB map

Not working:

  • Anything requiring bluetooth, airdrop, trackpad, etc. (I also have a BT400 dongle but it’s not working too. It works on my other Hackintosh though).
  • Disabling SIP (somehow says I have SIP disabled but I can’t edit the System folder. Required to fix the pink screen issue)
  • Possibly some other stuff which I haven't tested

Not tested: * iGPU output. Read that this requires some custom output map. * Finding my alcid but not a priority as I use an external DAC. Will probably get around to do it when I have more time. * iGPU acceleration (not sure why I need this for now)
