Slow MacOS Bootup?

I'm currently running MacOS Big Sur 11.4 with a

Core i5 10600K

Samsung 980 SSD

16GB of 3200mhz ram (unfortunately running at 2666mhz).

Asus B460 Prime

YOUBO wifi/bt card (recent addition, bootup time was still slow without it)

Intel 630 Integrated Graphics (rip affordable GPUs)

When I boot my system, the opencore boot selection screen comes up quickly enough but after I select the "Macintosh HD" drive to boot into, there's a solid 15-30 seconds of black screen until MacOS's verbose bootup lines of code appear. This is my first hackintosh build, is this normal? After the bootup lines of code appear the system is ready to use within about 15-20 seconds. For context, when I boot into my windows partition created with bootcamp windows 11 is up and running (on the login screen) in ~10 seconds from selecting it on the boot selection screen. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Edit: added more detailed hardware info
