Is using ProperTree for config.plist snapshotting required to be done on the target machine?

Hi guys. Noob question… I’m about to pull off my very first OC build, with an old Gigabyte Z97P-D3.

My question is does it matter if I load and edit my config.plist (according to the Dortania guide) with ProperTree on another computer (not the one I’m making it for)? When I do the “OC Snapshot” command from the “file” menu, does it pull anything from the current system into the config.plist I’m editing, or is it exclusively working with what’s inside my EFI folder I choose to snapshot?
