Hi. I've been messing around with a 5950X build for a few weeks. I'm using the Asus Dark Hero board and there's a great feature which lets you boost single core performance to around 5GHz, and still lets you boost all the cores to a set clock, 4.675GHz (46.75) in my case.
Everything works, but the issue I have is with macOS down-clocking the overclock almost immediately during a Cinebench test. I know this is not a motherboard/BIOS setting issue because in Windows 10, I run Cinebench R23 and get close to 32,000 without the clock going below 46.75. Watercooled and stays below 80C max during R23, so no heat issues.
This is with Big Sur 11.5.1 and OpenCore 0.7.1. I'll probably go back to Catalina, but not sure it'll make a difference (never been a fan of Big Sur anyway).
I wonder if there is a way to prevent it from going below the max boost, which works in Win10. Clock drops to 43.0 even when the temp is 70C. I use the trulyspinach power gadget and tried all the configurations as well.
Thanks
